Part-Time County Engineer

The County Engineer assists in leading and managing the Road Division of Lincoln County Public Works. This includes engineering, transportation planning, operations, and construction. The position provides guidance in the sound application of engineering, and technical principles of design and construction. The County Engineer sets design criteria in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. The County Engineer will also review and approve the design of public works improvement projects. This position may serve on various state, regional, and local committees for road facility planning, engineering, and maintenance related issues. The County Engineer will assist as a key liaison with the Board of County Commissioners. The position will make technical decisions including the selection of consultants through RFQ and contractors based on the professional analysis of bid documents. This position reports to and is supervised by the Public Works Director.
