Building Official

Full-Time, non-represented, management exempt position, 12-Month Probationary Period Administer and enforce State building codes within the City of Corvallis. Develop, implement, and manage the development review and inspection processes within the Development Services Division. These tasks are illustrative only and may include other related duties.

High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a closely-related field and two years of experience in construction management, architecture, structural engineering, building design, construction inspection, and/or plan review OR Six years of formal education, training and/or experience in construction management, architecture, structural engineering, building design, construction inspection and/or plan review. Two years of supervisory experience. State of Oregon Licensed Design Professional desired. See complete job description for special certification requirements. Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Drivers License. Ability to pass a pre-employment background and/or criminal history check.
