Human Resources Director

Summit County, located in Utah, is seeking candidates with administrative professional experience for Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director will plan, organize, direct, and control countywide human resources, benefits, and wellness programs. Oversees programs to assure compliance with Federal, state, and county code, as well as established policies and procedures. Works under the board policy guidance and direction of the County Manager. Provides close supervision to a team of employees who perform various human resource functions for the County.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduation from college with a Master’s degree in Personnel Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience related to the management of human resources, including but not limit to, recruitment and selection activities, benefit program administration, and computer-based records management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May be required to become certified in various aspects of HR Management through established professional organizations.
